A letter from Aug 5th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, I hope your first year of college has treated you well. I'm really worried about you. I know you will do well, but college is scary and people are scary and life has so many options that it seems impossible to choose one path and be expected to stick with it. I hope you have explored your options. I hope you have gotten out of your comfort zone. I hope you have tried new things. I am curious if you will still be with Dakota. This month will be our one-year and five-month anniversary. Crazy, right? I'm not sure how I really feel about it. I love him, but as I said, there's so much left of life to explore. Anyway, as your 17 year old self speaking to you from the past, I want you to know that I'm so proud of you. Like seriously so, SO proud of you. Please don't let anyone or anything hold you back from doing what you love. You got this. I love you.
