Dear future self,
I wonder how things are going for you? Is life good or bad? Times tough or easy? Well no matter how you or everyone is around you just listen to me.
Step 1: Reflect
Where has life taken you? Are you happy with who you are and how you treat others? Can you honestly say you are proud of yourself? Even if you've taken some rough turns in life, don't stress. It will be ok. I wonder if you've continued with your book or if you still love to cook and sketch. It doesn't matter as long as you are you.
Step 2: Smile
Whether it's real or fake, smile. Things may be better than ever or they may be worse but it doesn't hurt to smile. If you smile maybe you can drown away the darkness or show how you feel inside. You are surrounded by people who love and care about you so even if you don't realise it, there are reasons to smile and be happy.
Step 3: Dream
You don't need to have life planned out but have some goals. Think about what you really want and ignore all the expectations you think you have to exceed. Dream and do what you want. It's your life and no one has to force you to do anything. You are enough.
Step 4: Love
Currently there is no love in your life but don't force it. Don't hold onto anything you don't need but be open to when love knocks on your door. There is someone out there for you and maybe you've found them. Don't worry about it. What is meant to happen, will happen.
Step 5: You
You are everything you need in life. Whether everything is falling apart or perfect, you will always be there for yourself. I believe in you and I know you will always be okay. Don't doubt what you can do. See the sunshine in everything.
Sending this with all my love and high hopes.
