A letter from October 7th, 2024

dear me at eighteen, you just turned seventeen.
i hope you're still the same person as the person you were when you're seventeen. this is really a special day for us, the growth we had seen over the past few years really highlighted the person you are today. 
im gonna cry, as me at seventeen, don't want to turn eighteen yet. do you remember how dull it was when you turned seventeen? it was not really the seventeenth birthday we expected but we still made it. you are now legal and in college.
how is college, self? did you meet new friends? are your hg's still there for you? especially, did we make it (our deluluness?) - we finally are in a relationship? i hope you're really living the best out there, i really hope you do. the struggles we've seen and the problems we faced together, still we remained resilient about it (all these family ***** we hae to go through), i hope soon it'll go away. i also hope that i can see you smiling on your eighteenth birthday (i really hope you do) and i want to see you thrive as an independent person. i hope our dreams finally come true - as a musician and a celebrity, as always. i hope you're doing something great out there. i hope you're partying with your friends and acting like child (hehe). 
i wish i can see you there, how you mentally and physically improved. did your skin been cleared? have you tried the skin care products we hoped to get day? do you get kisses everytime before you sleep? i have a lot of questions for you, eighteen self. but most importantly, is that i can see you being happy on your own skin, shining bright like a star on your own. i hope you'd never ever compare yourself again to anyone. i hope you're still interested (a geek) in astrology like i am today. i really love you, i wish you all the best, self.
