Dear… me. Well, me from a year ahead.
Do you remember that feeling?
The anxious dread of sitting there, wondering if you could do it?
I hope you can tell me confidently that you did it.
You’ve worked so hard and you deserve every success that comes your way, I hope that you realize that.
I know you’re probably going to be somewhere cringing at this letter, forgetting that you wrote this a year ago.
But with everyday that passes by, I want you to remember this letter and realize that you deserve this, and this is the way it’s supposed to be.
Don’t feel pressured to believe it, I only want this to serve as a reminder that I wish you the best, and love you. I always will, and it’s in writing, so you can’t dispute it.
I know you possibly had a bad week, or month, or year so please treat yourself and take care of yourself. Don’t force yourself to expect high expectations just because you want to prove your worth.
You already have, with every moment of kindness you gave to others, and with every moment you tried to be a good muslim.
I guess I’ll see you in a year, me.
PS: Do you still want that part-time job at McDonald’s?
